A group of notable students in southern zone of plateau
State under the aegis of National association of Gomai students have drummed support for the aspiration of the students union Government university of jos, presidential aspirant, D B peter.
The group, led by Prince Solomon nyelong, said the people of Gomai area would support their son’s ambition.
He said that considering the recent atmosphere in the school polity, it is incumbent on them to rally round their son.
The group said that D B peter possesses all the qualities of a president who will be committed to not only the development of Gomai but the entire university at large.
Rising form a meeting in kunga 1 on Wednesday, the group berated the decision of some people “to overlook the aspirants of Gomai extraction in who becomes the president off students union 2019.”
They insisted that it will be wise to allow Gomai to produce the next SUG president for the purpose of equality and fairness.
Reacting, D B peter who is a bonifide son of Gomai from du'ut district of shendam LGA said he wouldn’t take their backing for granted and would do everything in his capacity to make Gomai people proud and never regret there backing, insisting that the Newer vision will be of benefit to all Jossites.
D B peter commended the leaders for having the interest of their people at heart and are ready to lead them in the right direction.
He promised to deliver the dividend of democracy and put smiles on the faces of the students in university of Jos at large.
